What About the Razzies?

   With talk about the Oscar nominations, I wonder, what about the Razzie nominations? If you don't know, the Golden Raspberry Award Foundation is an award show that celebrates the worst movies of the year and is held each year the day before the Oscars. To see the whole list of nominations, check it out on Rotten Tomatoes, but I will just go over the highlights. Grown Ups 2, After Earth, the Tyler Perry Movies, and Movie 43 lead the amount of nominations. I haven't seen every movie that has been nominated (glad that I didn't), but if I were to give out the award for Worst Picture, I would give it to Movie 43. With the amount

Sorry Tyler Perry, you're movies are bad

of talent that this movie had, it had to be good right? Well, it was a train wreck and very insulting to movie audiences and even the actors/actresses themselves. There are stories going around that the people in the movie were blackmailed into being in Movie 43 and if you notice, no one actor or actress has ever hyped this movie up. I would give Worst Actor to Jaden Smith (After Earth). It's kinda sad to see where Will Smith's kids have gone with their careers. I'm still not convinced that Jaden Smith is a good actor. Maybe he needs to try to be in a big blockbuster movie that doesn't have his dad in it. Worst Actress will probably go to Selena Gomez (Getaway). As the title of the movie suggests, you should just get away from Getaway. Selena Gomez is just unconvincing and doesn't really immerse herself in her character and all I saw was Selena Gomez in a hoody. Worst director should go to the 13 people who directed Movie 43. That's actually the title of the nomination. If you have 13 minds, whether they are good or not. They should at least come up with something good, but they do not and they create the monstrosity that is Movie 43. Those are just the highlights from the major Razzie nominations. I think that the nominations are pretty good, I don't think Sylvester Stallone should have been nominated, but what do you think? Was a movie 'snubbed'?
