Reactions From NFL Wildcard Weekend

Chiefs 44 vs Colts 45
Going into this game, many people knew that Jamaal Charles was going to play a big part in this game. Well, he left the game with a concussion and that left Alex Smith to lead the Chiefs offense and for the first half, that's what he did. The game looked over when the Chiefs led 31-10 at the half. Andrew Luck looked good on the opening drive of the game, but cooled down for the rest of the half. That was when Andrew

Luck led the Colts back on an amazing 28 point comeback. T.Y. Hilton was a big part of that with 13 catches, 224 yards, and 2 TDs for the whole game. The loss of Jamaal Charles was present in the 2nd half. Knile Davis did well, but I'm sure Alex Smith would have felt better with Charles in the back field. Andrew Luck pretty much did what he does best (do more with less and carry his team week in and week out).
Saints 26 vs Eagles 24
It was a funny story going into this game. The Saints aren't known to be a great road team, but the Eagles are quietly, not a good home team. Drew Brees looked good in this game, not a Drew Brees type of game, but was well enough. Mark Ingram was a big help with his 18 carries, 97 yards, and 1 TD performance. It seemed like the Saints out-willed the Eagles and managed to get the ball last for the game-winning FG.
Chargers 27 vs Bengals 10
Unfortunately, for the Bengals, they had the bad Andy Dalton game. The Chargers, despite being a bad pass defense throughout the season, kept A.J. Green in check and let Marvin Jones beat them. The dynamic

duo of Phillip Rivers and Danny Woodhead led the Chargers to the upset with not an amazing performance but an efficient one. Also, now the Chargers continued to be undefeated on the road whenever Phillip Rivers wears his bolo tie. Fear the tie!
49ers 23 vs Packers 20
I predicted that the 49ers would win this game because of the way their team is built. A tough, smash-mouth defense and a strong run game. However, the only thing swaying me away from that would pick would be Aaron Rodgers in Lambeau. The cold weather was a factor in this game. Both teams went run heavy, but the QBs would get their own, but it was Colin Kaepernick that was the factor in this game. The scramble runs killed the Packers especially on that last drive. It goes to wonder what the game would have been like if Clay Matthews was healthy and playing. However, you can't play "what ifs" in the playoffs and the 49ers got the game-winning FG leaving the Packers under .500 in Lambeau in the playoffs since the early 2000s.
