My reaction when I saw that PA made over $18 million |
So who fell from the top 5 from last week's box office? That was Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues. It fell from 3rd to 6th making $11.1 million this weekend. Nothing wrong with that, Anchorman fans probably had their fill of Ron Burgundy and went to see other movies. The new Paranormal Activity opened 2nd in the box office making a lot of money, something that I was sadly expecting. I haven't seen The Marked Ones yet, but I can tell that it's horrible. The biggest surprised in the box office was Frozen. Coming out around Thanksgiving, this movie continues to be on top of the box office week after week and deservedly so. I didn't know what to expect when I was going to watch Frozen. I tend to avoid trailers so that I'm not spoiled by anything. Frozen is an amazing movie that is just as good as Tangled. If you haven't seen Frozen yet, I strongly recommend it, especially if you are a fan of Disney movies. All I can say is, this movie deserves every penny it's getting, unlike Paranormal Activity.
Her and Lone Survivor are getting their wide-releases while The Legend of Hercules opens up for the first time this weekend. I've heard many good things about Her and Lone Survivor so hopefully they get good box office numbers. The new Hercules movie doesn't look very good, but as long as Paranormal Activity doesn't make anymore money, I'll be happy.
