Lone Survivor had a limited release at the end of December, so it can qualify for the Oscars. Those who saw it, gave it high praise, which explains the movie's success in the box office. A movie that didn't receive high praise was The Legend of Hercules, which barely beat out American Hustle and The Wolf of Wall Street. What continues to surprise is Frozen. Again, making the top 5 in the box office. Now Frozen has grossed over $317 million domestically! (over 711 million worldwide). This movie came out in November and it continues to be a box office juggernaut. What is disappointing is the success of Her, or lack thereof. Her only grossed over $5 million. It's disappointing to her that since Her has also been generating Oscar buzz. The movie could improve next weekend, but I doubt it.
