Please don't ruin this Sanders! |
DreamWorks has recently confirmed that the upcoming Ghost in the Shell movie, based on the manga written by Masamune Shirow, and the animated film directed by Mamoru Oshii, will be directed by Rupert Sanders, the director of Snow White and the Huntsman. A release date has not been confirmed (at least to my knowledge), but I would expect this to come out sometime around 2018, maybe, but what do I think about this directing choice? I'm personally not a fan of this. I was disappointed by Snow White and the Huntsman. It was poorly directed, and it failed to reach the expectations that I and many other people had for the movie had for the movie. Not everyone disliked the movie like I do. That is where I get an optimistic approach for this. I want this Ghost in the Shell movie to be amazing because I am a fan of this anime. For the people who enjoyed Snow White and the Huntsman, they'll probably like this directing choice. Time will tell on the state of this movie. We still need to wait on who will be part of this movie, especially in terms of cast. Some fans of the anime will probably want a specific people to be in this movie, more importantly, race. I personally don't think race matters. Fans aren't in love with what the character is, they care about who the character is. As long as the actor or actress capture the traits and the essence of the character, they can be any race. Check out the story on
